Lessons are conducted one-on-one and are tailored to each student’s needs.

In addition to his own expertise, GM Akobian employs the most up-to-date resources for instruction including databases, software and supplemental written materials.

» Via the Internet
This method of chess instruction allows the player/student who might otherwise be unable to take a lesson with a Grandmaster, to receive such instruction in the comfort and convenience of home or anywhere an internet connection is available. Consequently, students from all over the world take advantage of the opportunity, afforded by this method, with GM Akobian. Both student and instructor connect to the internet via ICC (Internet Chess Club) so the same chessboard appears on both the student’s computer screen and GM Akobian’s as well so when either makes a move on the board, it instantly appears on the other’s screen. GM Akobian and his student will also be simultaneously in contact via phone or Skype.

» Group Lessons
These are usually conducted on Saturday afternoons and include from 2 to 10 students. GM Akobian’s rates are very reasonable and affordable compared to rates charged by other GMs.
